Panther Punch

We are a production company that worries. Like, a helluva lot.

We really worry about what people think. So much so, that we’ve made work that’s gone viral, won loads of awards, and continuously moved the needle for brands (yes, even in the ever declining needle industry). All just to keep audiences happy. Then we stop worrying for a bit… but only until the next brief lands. Then we’re back at it, worrying about how to make it even better than the last one, and have audiences lapping it up like its the best thing since a sliced bread commercial. We love it when that happens. So yeah, we maybe actually kinda like worrying. Send us your scripts, your half-baked ideas, or even your fully baked sourdough concepts. We’ll eat them up and spit out a beautiful ad. Metaphors are mixed now, but that’s fine, we’ll worry about that too, so you don’t have to.

Director, Writer

Oliver Booth

Oli entered the ad industry at 9 years old when he was cast as an Italian newspaper boy in a Cremora ad. At last, he thought, my big break. But the only thing that broke was his heart when he never made the final cut. He was not inside, nor was he on top. But a fire was lit. Oli vowed to become such a good commercials director that he would always make the final cut. Known for sharp performances, meticulous timing, and strong visual storytelling, his work balances craft with comedy. His humour is uniquely offbeat, sharp enough to surprise yet relatable enough to connect with a large audience. Unfortunately he is still yet to make the final cut. After honing his writing chops on stand up comedy stages across South Africa and going on to make viral sketch comedy, Oli developed a knack for knowing exactly what stories make a South African audience laugh and connect. He recently wrapped development on the crime comedy series “Red Herring,” which he co-created and wrote for Showmax, and it is slated to hit production in 2026.

Exec Producer

Bryony Webster

This is Bryony’s bio. She has worked with lots of directors, agencies and clients in jobs both huge and tiny – a horn of which she doesn’t toot nearly enough. She handles any brief you throw her way, no matter the amount of deliverables and insane schedule, because she’s great, experienced and ready to bring your concept to life! She also has a degree in drama, but can’t act. She is very creative though, and not just with budgets.

CFO

Joe Whiting

The former Wolf of Bree St, Joe can be found in a cabin in the woods, perhaps grappling with a spreadsheet while on a video call while taking minutes while processing payments. He’s everywhere, and nowhere. But he’ll invoice you on time. You can take that to the bank. And bet on it. And then wait 30 days for it to reflect in your account, depending on how the markets are doing.
